Technical Requirements for Writers
We're so excited to help prepare you for using SignGlasses! Below are the Technical Requirements for using our platform.
System Requirements
A 2017 or newer laptop or tablet:
with a built-in camera
an operating system of Windows (8 and up) or Mac OS 10.10 (or higher).
at least 8GB of RAM, 64-bit processor with 2 cores or more.
In our testing, using a Chromebook with SignGlasses will result in a less than ideal experience. Newer Chromebooks can be used but if your experience is unsatisfactory, you will need to switch to a different device. iPads are not compatible at this time.
Browser & Internet Requirements
An up-to-date Chrome browser or an up-to-date Microsoft Edge browser.
An Internet upload and download speed of at least 10 Mbps
A hard-wired/ethernet connection is required. You can test your connection here.
Please visit highspeedinternet.com for information on available service providers in your area, if needed.
Please note that the only browsers we support are Chrome and Microsoft Edge (with Chrome being the preferred option). Safari is not a supported browser and will not work with the SignGlasses platform at this time.
Headset Requirements
Wearing a wired headset is an absolute necessity. We recommend finding one that is comfortable for extended use!
Headsets we have tested and can recommend:

Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Headset
Captioning Software
This list contains the captioning software that we know will work well in SignGlasses. Click on each one to see the steps on connecting them to the SignGlasses Platform.
