Connecting the Samson XPD2 Lavalier Microphone

This guide will walk you through connecting the Samson XPD2 Lavalier Microphone.

Please note that this microphone can only connect to a laptop. It will not connect to a mobile device or iPad.

Locate both pieces of this microphone

Notice that this device has 2 pieces: the USB receiver dongle and the transmitter/microphone.

Plug the USB receiver dongle into your computer
Turn on the microphone by clicking the power button on the transmitter
- A steady amber light will now show on both devices. This means it is on!

Hand the microphone to the presenter
When you join the SignGlasses session, select the Samson RXD microphone as your microphone.

If the light on the transmitter dongle is flashing, instead of steady, it is attempting to pair. To pair it:

Hold the dongle’s pairing button for 5–8 seconds until it blinks quickly
Hold the mic box power button for 5–8 seconds until it also blinks quickly
- After a few moments, the light will stop blinking and will become a steady amber light. This means it is paired and you should be all set to select it in SignGlasses!
