Platform Training Review for Writers

You finished training! Now what? You will start getting emails and texts from us about available jobs very soon!

When you do, here are some things to remember from your training.


Update your SignGlasses Profile

You'll need to do the following right away:

  • Update your SignGlasses password

  • Upload any applicable certifications/licenses you have to the platform.

This guide will walk you through how to Upload Your Certifications/Licenses.


Accept Assignments from your Job Board

Now you're ready to start accepting assignments! These will start showing up on your Board soon.

See our guide, Claim assignments on the Job Board, to review how to accept assignments.


Technical Requirements

Make sure you have:

  • An up-to-date Chrome browser

  • An Internet upload and download speed of at least 10 Mbps

    • You will need to be on a hard-wired/ethernet connection. You can test your connection here.

A hard-wired connection is required so that we can ensure minimum connection drops and provide the best experience for our users.

Over-communicate with us!

We need to know ASAP if you need assistance or are running into technical difficulties. You can reach us via live chat, text, or email.

In urgent situations, text or live chat are best!

Our office hours are 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM MT.

We will respond as quickly as we can outside of those hours and non-urgent messages will be replied to the next business day.


Need a Sub?

Reach out to the Operations Team ASAP when you need a sub!

Do your best to keep all jobs you accept. We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice when a sub is needed.

We absolutely understand that emergencies happen and this isn't always possible. Please do what you can to keep us informed.


Follow the 25 Minute Wait Policy

  • Always reach out to us within the first 5 minutes of a session if the client has not connected yet.

  • Then reach out again at the 25 minute mark if you haven't been excused yet.

Reminder: Do not leave a session until the Operations Team has excused you.

This is a situation where reaching out via text or live chat is best!


Upload your transcripts

Transcripts must be uploaded to the SignGlasses platform within 24 hours of the completed job. You will get an automatic reminder email from us to upload this if you forget!

Report overtime within 24 hours

We need to know if a session went over and how long it went over by so we can add the time to your session.

You can inform us via text, chat, or email at ops@signglasses.com.

Best Practice: Let us know as soon as the session is over, so you don't forget!


Submit your Invoices

Remember:

  • Invoices will appear in the platform 24 hours from the start of the completed job

  • Submit your invoice within 3 months of the completed job

  • You will get an invite from bill.com to set up Direct Deposit within 30 days of submitting your first invoice

    • Do not go to bill.com yourself - wait for the email!

    • If you don't get the email within 30 days, please reach out to us at ops@signglasses.com.
